Sewing tips and hints:
1. Do not run working threads (floss or pc) for more than a few fabric threads between motifs beneath fabric when using see through fabrics. If the motif is large enough to be able to bury ends, do so at each motif.
2. To prevent puckered floss threads when using 2 ply floss, separate the 2 threads first then rejoin them. Dampening floss first will also help.
3. Threads have a sheen that wears off with use so starting with long threads will cause the sheen to wear eventually. Short threads make for faster easier working.
Errors made when cutting or pulling out threads may often be corrected by one of the following methods:
1. If only one fabric thread is cut in error, you may try to mend it with fabric glue or Fraycheck only. Be sure to let it dry before continuing. If needleweaving is to be done over the top of the fix then it will not show.
2. Put drops of fabric glue on a paper & use a tooth pick to apply the glue in order to pinpoint the place and the amount needed. Water & glue mixed often works to hold frayed or partly cut threads.
3. Sometimes fabric threads get pulled out in error & need to be replaced. To fix, pull out a single fabric thread from the unworked fabric at the edge of your project & thread it onto a needle, weaving it in the place of the original thread as best you can, burying ends under worked areas. Use fabric glue lightly as needed and let dry.
